Madison Judo
Lesley Hutchins
Lesley was the Madison head coach from 2013-2019. She is an accomplished judoka both as an athlete and a coach. She continues to assist the club as an Emeritus Instructor
She won the UK National Schools Championship at sixteen and gained her Shodan at eighteen. Prior to going to university, she qualified as a British Judo Association coach and began working with junior competitive players. She had a spot on the British Women's Judo squad and went on to successfully represent Great Britain in several international tournaments. Whilst at University, she won the British National Championships and was selected for the World Student Games in Poland.
As a veteran athlete, she competed at the IJF Veteran's world championship winning Bronze in 2017 and 2018 and Silver in 2016.
